I started visiting Egypt 18 years ago and have been to some part of it almost every year since. Thanks to Sara Farouk for taking me off the beaten track and showing me beautiful places and amazing people from sailing on Lake Nasser, the coast, along the Nile and the oasis and deserts. In 2010 I discovered the South Eastern desert and the unforgettable Wadi Gamal (Valley of the Camels).
